Are you a registered non-profit organization?

Yes! Rawr is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and donations are tax deductable.

Why did you choose to go the nonprofit route?

The founders Jeremy and Sean believe it is good to give back to the community and to share knowledge. Additionally, Jeremy had started a for profit consulting business but felt a conflict of values when it came to discussing it with people he met. To be effective at business, he felt he should tell everyone as they could be potential customers, but as a person he didn’t like the idea of promoting himself or the company to everyone he met. The Nonprofit is a way to give back without the constant pestering of needing to make more money.

Are they presentations, workshops, sessions? What is the correct terminology?

All the above! We often struggle with which term to use as we truly conduct all of the above and then some. A presentation would be more in an assembly setting, speaking to a large crowd. A session involves information presented and active engagement from the audience in examples, experiences, and working on exercises. Group size is dependent, usually less than 100 people. A workshop is a smaller group of everyone diving in, collaborating and walking away with tangible products of ideas. More important than the term is ironing out the details to get some good knowledge exchanged.

How short is the shortest session?

We recommend at least 1 hour. This is enough time to hit a topic with enough depth. There can be case by case situations where it can be shorter, but ideally worth the time of travel.

How many days can the longest workshop go?

This is highly dependent on numerous factors such as schedules of the RAWR Ambassadors, the goal of the workshop and so forth. It is ideal to keep it within two days, but that is not a strict rule.

What size range do you work with?

It could be 1 person to many thousands. Each size presents various opportunities and challenges and we can certainly discuss those factors to help you make sure you have the best setting for you goals.

How many people come out to do work?

Our practice is to have at least 2 RAWR Ambassadors at all times. This provides each RAWR Ambassador support and the ability to provide feedback in the form of sustains and improves. For longer sessions, or larger number of people, having extra facilitators enhances the experience.
